Guess Lincoln didn't think the discriminate acts that now prevents airlines from taking height and weight requirements apply to their decision. Hmmm. I too applaud the idea but there are unheathly thin students as well. Either they all should take it and learn heathly lifestyle habits or one if them might need to find an attorney.

Well now! Interesting! I am a 1976 graduate of Lincoln University. Let's consider the student who is overweight because of genetics. Then you have the student who may be overweight because of medication. How about the student who may have a mental disorder, that no one knows about, and will eat to compensate for their disorder. My, my,my! Did the 'powers-that-be' who made this requirement also include the students who are in the graduate program...or are the undergraduate students the only ones affected? At what age does this requirement end? Are the faculty members required to have a certain BMI before they can teach and/or receive their paychecks? Will a high school senior, who has a high BMI, be denied admittance to the university because of his/her weight? I agree with Ms. Costello. "The university should make sure its dining halls and vending machines offer healthy choices." It will be interesting to see how this ends.
